Electron tunneling model of the covalent bond ?
How can those electron-dot diagrams showing shared electrons happily sitting between the nuclei be consistent with the principle that opposite charges attract? The model described here is the simplest one that really explains bonding, but you are unlikely to find it in any textbook!

General Chemistry I Digital Lecture Material
Screencasts are flash video files that contain the powerpoint presentation and an audio track. These were recorded in my office (not lecture) so they are short, but very dense.

Virtual ChemBook
this nicely-done site by Charles Ophardt of Elmhurst College covers a wide swath of general, organic, and environmental chemistry. The text material is interesting and well written without attempting to be encyclopedic.

Virtual chemistry
The Oxford VR Group is developing a three-dimensional simulated laboratory for the teaching of chemistry. This laboratory will be modelled using virtual reality techniques and it will contain interactive multimedia experiments. Essentially, the student will be able to move around the lab in a web browser window and choose to take part in experiments that are distributed around this virtual lab.
